Improved fire reaction, maximum user friendliness!
Anticipate the future with the improved ALSECURE fire safety cables from Nexans.
You will be working on a major construction project such as a government building, nursing home, hospital or school where fire class B2ca/Cca is prescribed in the tender. In addition, the client has requested extra attention for the use of sustainable materials. The new generation ALSECURE fire safety cables are perfect for this type of assignment. An improved fire reaction, optimal ease of use and with an EPD declaration. Anticipate the future: use ALSECURE fire resistant cables from Nexans.
The advantages of ALSECURE:
- Improved fire reaction
- Easy Strippable
- UV resistant
- PEP EcoPassport (EPD)
Enhanced fire safety thanks to ALSECURE
Electrical cables play an essential role in fire safety in buildings. By using the halogen-free ALSECURE cables with B2ca/Cca certification, fire safety is improved considerably. Therefore, ALSECURE cables are ideal for use in large-scale projects where fire safety is extra important.
- Delaying fire development, thus gaining valuable time for evacuation and fire fighting.
- Limitation of dense smoke and acid gases, the main cause of fire-related deaths and damage to buildings and equipment
- Reduction of heat generation
- A wide range of products, adapted to national regulations, building types and electrical applications.
Building structures are becoming increasingly complex, partially due to the electrification of energy, such as the use of solar panels and electric cars.
Cables are therefore increasingly in direct contact with sunlight. With UV-resistant cables, you do not need to protect the cable routing against direct sunlight.
Our halogen-free installation cables are UV-resistant according to the test standard EN 50289-4-17 Method A.
Easy strippable: cut, kink, remove sheath.
Halogen-free cables in fire classes B2ca and Cca are often more difficult to handle than standard installation cables. For example, a sheath can stick to the conductors, which means that you can only dismantle short pieces. Or you might have to peel off the filling sheath piece by piece. The more you have to cut into a cable, the greater the risk of damaging the insulation.
Nexans has solved this problem. The ALSECURE cables till 10 mm² are Easy Strippable, which means you can dismantle the cables just as easy as standard cables. And that works fine and fast. Saves time and boosts ease of work.
“ Easy Strippable installation cable offers a lot of convenience and time saving, as we can strip the entire cable in one operation. It reduces waste and we would highly recommend it to other installers. ”

VAN BOXTEL ELEKTRO - UDENMore and more tenders are focusing on the use of more sustainable materials. This is how we minimise our CO2 footprint and raw materials consumption. Thanks to Ecodesign, Nexans is actively working on the development of products with a lower environmental impact. Nexans makes it easy for you to work more sustainably with a PEP EcoPassport. With this transparent Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), you can determine the sustainability of the project more accurately.
