Nexans launches Mobiway MOB drum kit, a durable roll-off system for effortless cable transportation and installation

Schiedam, October 16, 2023 – Nexans launches the Mobiway MOB drum kit, an innovative connected cable transport and installation solution for medium to large-sized building projects. While traditional cable drums are bulky and unwieldy, Nexans’ Mobiway MOB is designed to make the process of manipulating and unwinding cables safe and effortless for installers. As a result, the time required for cable installation could be reduced by half.
The new Mobiway MOB is lighter, and the integrated handles allow reels to be moved easily by one person. Thanks to the patented ergonomic design, the drum kit has become even more stable and robust, improving workplace safety and extending product lifetime on construction sites. In addition, the Mobiway MOB drum kits can be coupled together, making it possible to unroll several drums simultaneously.

- Nexans' new Mobiway MOB drum kit is made of 76% recycled material and can be reused with any Mobiway drum.
- The special solution is designed for different cable types: common installation cables with 2.5 mm² cross-section and 3 to 5 conductors, N-line® pre-wired conduits, signalling cables and fire alarm cables can all fit on Mobiway MOB.
- It is the only drum kit on the market to allow transporting and unrolling low-voltage cables up to 500 meters long.
