Nexans has joined the Brancheplan Verpakkingen

We are proud to announce that Nexans Nederland B.V. has joined the Brancheplan Verpakkingen - an important initiative by Techniek Nederland & Fedet!

Nexans, a global leader in cable solutions, has commited to Net-Zero emissions by 2050. Our focus is on sustainable electrification, and participating in this initiative is an important step in that direction. The official signing took place with Frank Oberink, CEO of Nexans Nederland, and the agreement was received by Sebastiaan Scheers of Fedet.

Sustainable packaging is extremely important for Nexans. For a long time, we have been using reels made from PEFC certified wood. Recently, we have started using a more sustainable packaging film wrap, made from 30% PCR recycled plastic, and our MOBIWAY MOB drums are made from recycled plastic.

The Brancheplan Verpakkingen is an initiative aimed at reducing, high-end reusing of and increasing the sustainability of packaging within the installation sector. This plan strives to minimize the use of primary raw materials and packaging waste, contributing to a circular economy. By working together as a collective, we support the Dutch government's ambition to use 50% fewer primary raw materials by 2030.

Nexans Nederland B.V. is excited to be part of this initiative and to contribute to the development of sustainable packaging solutions. Together with other leading companies in the industry, we will strive to reduce the environmental impact of packaging and promote the circular economy.
